There Is A Rumor That Apple's Fourth-Quarter Cut Down iPhone: The Different Views On Wall Street

As has been reported that Apple requires manufacturers to reduce China Taiwan's shipments of parts, resulting in two days the stock fell 5%, and led Wall Street to the debate whether Apple cut the iPhone.

Some reports said that, this may be due to the lower demand. There comments were that this is because the supply of some parts of Apple have the problems, especially in flexible printed circuit board. Although Wall Street analysts also do not know the specific manufacturers in Taiwan with those of communication, but they have their own news source.

Ticonderoga Securities analyst, Brian White research shows that Apple's Taiwanese suppliers indeed some signs of weakness. Flowering analyst, Richard Gardner said that despite the flexible circuit board did show some signs of a shortage, but he suggested investors to buy Apple stock dips. Mutli-Fineline Electronix's conference call with analysts last week, said the company's poor performance by the end of the quarter the impact of the situation, the company ...
... has half of the revenue from Apple.

These messages also led Wall Street to further debate on the status of Apple.

Susquehanna Financial analyst, Chris Picasso, on Friday morning, his research shows that Apple did cut iPhone production in the fourth quarter, but he did not know what causes the supply side or demand side from. "The research shows a number of vendors, Apple has canceled orders for the fourth quarter, part of the iPhone." He wrote. Picasso also believes that Apple lowered the yield for the quarter part of the iPad, but he pointed out that as a new generation of iPad, it is expected in the first quarter, so do not worry about this too.

On the other hand, Wedge Partners analyst, Brian Blair wrote in the report, iPhone (iPhone 4S cell phone case) production cut report "completely false." He noted that although the iPhone-related material supply tight, but "we do not think Apple's iPhone (white iPhone 4S with pink case) in the quarter reduced production." He expects production this quarter, the iPhone (white iPhone 4S with pink case) will be more than 31 million, higher than the previous quarter's 17 million.
