Prospective Careers And 2 More Factors Determine The Toughness Of The Scra Exam
It has often been seen that, if the number of seats in a college or institution is less, then the competition is high. From logical view point, this is an obvious conclusion which would be corroborated by the mathematical ratios also. Such logics and calculations, both apply to the popularity that is seen for the exam of SCRA or Special Class Railway Apprentice exam that is conducted by the UPSC or Union Public Service Commission. This apprenticeship program is one of the oldest academic courses in the country with the program coming into force in the year 1927. Since then, the standard of education in the program of mechanical engineering in the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has improved decisively.
The exam is sought after by students as there are a few factors which are of significance for the students for getting into this institute. Those who get a chance at studying in this institute, are not going to miss the opportunity as the institute, the course and the training thereof, is considered as the best, which becomes one of the 3 reasons why the entrance exam is being attempted ...
... by a number of students.
Prospective careers – After the course or apprenticeship in this institute is over, people have a plethora of opportunities in front of them. They are recruited into the railways, which is a centralized department and the rules and regulations as well as the pay structures are determined by the central government. The pay scales of the officer cadres are quite high and therefore, people would are eager to get into the institute through the SCRA exam.
After passing the 4 year engineering program, the students are trained for the highest level leadership program which is a Group A officer cadre and they are posted in the junior scale. Gradually, these officers can get promoted to the senior administrative grade which is a very high post in the railways and the pay scales also keep on increasing. The different sectors of the railways into which these officers can get jobs are Indian Railway Traffic Service, Indian Railway Accounts Service, Indian Railway Personnel Service, Railway Protection Service and the Railway Engineering Service.
Elite few – The jobs that are available after the students pass out from the course, are among the highest levels in the country and moreover they are central government jobs. Millions of people are eager and try their hard to get into the central government jobs. But, the students who pass through the SCRA test, and study in the college, are assured that they will get the officer posts immediately after passing out. And the seats in this college are few which make the entrance exam quite coveted.
Tough exam – In order to select the best candidates, the SCRA test is being conducted in two steps with each step having the toughest questions, so that the basic and thorough knowledge of the students is brought to the fore. If the students are seriously interested in getting through these exams, then they will have to prepare and study for the exams and cover their syllabus with dedication and sincerity.
The exam of SCRA is one of the toughest and the above 3 factors have added to the toughness. Students need to concentrate on the cracking of this exam, because they will have a secure future, and will be among the elite few in the country, who could make through this exam.
