Beating An Rpg Puzzle

Sometimes exercising the right side of your brain can be pretty fun. Playing an adventure game that has great RPG puzzle aspects can do the trick. It can also cause your brain to start convulsing and projecting bad childhood memories you'd repressed. Psychiatry is expensive, so you'll probably want to avoid this. If you really want to enjoy an RPG that focuses on solving puzzles, you can probably benefit from these tips.
There are two different groups who will probably enjoy this type of flash game. Hardcore adventure game players will love the story and brain teasers in a quick format, while new players will like something that is both free yet different than a mindless shooter. The same tips apply for both groups though.
First, this is a flash adventure game. It is something put together by a few programmers in a limited amount of time. It will not have the insane depth that some other games have, and that is a good thing. A flash game is meant to be quick and easy to play. The reason you have to remember this is that the puzzles will not be insanely complex. They are usually funny or easy. You won't have to ...
... build a television from 50 pieces scattered throughout the city. You usually have four things to find and about 10 things to get in order to get past obstacles blocking the main four. Confusing enough already?
This really won't be difficult if you are willing to think things through and try new things. Most flash adventure games don't have strict rules. There are very few things that will result in death and a restart, so feel free to try new and odd combinations. Why would you give the fly on the signpost a flower? Because you can. Hey, the worst that happens is that the game calls you an idiot. Even these insults aren't bad, since they can be the best lines in the game.
Second, once you establish an adventuresome spirit, you need to activate your packrat spirit. There is rarely any junk in an action game. Every item will be used somewhere and having it in your inventory gives you more options to solve puzzles. Picking up everything you can and talking to everyone is usually a good first step. This will let you understand the full story, get a few laughs, and probably solve things a bit faster.
Finally, you really need to get weird. You're by yourself, be as odd as you want to be. Most of these puzzles were built by flash gamers or programmers and they tend to be very disturbed individuals. Yes, I said it. With that said, some flash adventures will really make you think outside the box for a solution.
If worse comes to worse, you can also remember the almighty cheat code. Most games will have guides and hints in the comment section, so you can often get an answer to a tough puzzle there, but where is the fun in that?
