Water is a precious element in today’s world where natural resources are rapidly disappearing. It is used for a number of purposes in houses as well as factories. Right from the most basic use of water i.e. drinking, its usage extends up to the running of large machineries. Water is gathered from many sources like lake, pound, river, well or seas but all of it is not suitable to be used directly due to many impurities present in it. Thus, to make this water suitable for various uses, it is processed through a water treatment process.

A water treatment uses different methods and elements to purify water so that it can be used for every essential purpose. There are many ways of purifying water like intake filtering, sedimentation, aeration, chemical treatment, filtration and many more. Amongst these methods, the intake filtering method is the most popular one. This method is adopted by large water treatment plants to produce huge amount of drinkable water. The chemical treatment method of water purification utilizes chemical compounds like chlorine, iodine and ozone. ...
... These chemicals are capable of removing all the living organisms from the purified water.

Amongst all these methods of chemical water purification, chlorination is the most popular one. Chlorination is carried on with the help of Chlorinators in which the element of chlorine is added to the water for purifying it. Chlorination not only makes water fit for human consumption but it also prevents the spreading of waterborne diseases. Chlorination or any such water treatment method basically helps to remove those elements or substances from water that may be harmful to humans. This treatment process is guaranteed to remove almost 99% of water contaminants from waste-water as well as raw water sources that are the main source of water coming in our homes.

Many kinds of equipments and technologies are also used by water treatment factories and plants. These equipments are specially designed to support the chemical intake and purification methods used for the purpose. One of the popular equipments used in the method of chlorination is Chlorine gas Scrubbing System . These gas scrubbing systems are used for scrubbing toxics, corrosive, vapors and hazardous gases from industrial emissions. These scrubbers are available in vast variety as per specific needs. Some popular types include packed scrubbers, venturi scrubbers, spray columns, plate scrubbers, bubble cap trays, plate-cum packed scrubbers, sieve trays and many more.
