A persons morale is at the mercy of many negative influences throughout the day; and sweating, usually in the guise of anxiety sweating, can have an especially bad effect. For many persons who are suffering on a daily basis with forms of excessive sweating, life can be very hard on a day by day basis, especially if they are suffering with other forms of sweating as well.
Yes, sweating is a natural body function that still happens no matter what; but when you sweat excessively, you must put up with the negativity that occurs socially when people see you sweating excessively. Many things in our lives today have a very unwelcome influence on our wellbeing, and anxiety sweating can be one of those influences; is that why anxiety sweating is being singled out? You could very well turn to other forms of excessive sweating, like night sweating or sweating due to health problems.
For the most part all the other forms of excessive sweating cannot start the process of cyclic sweating, only this form of sweating can do that. Cyclic sweating can be a nightmare for the individual who suffers from stress attacks, because ...

There are those who commonly undergo the rigors of stress attacks but do not routinely feel the terrible burden that this form of sweating can produce, in spite of the fact that it usually happens in that manner.
Society turns a cold shoulder to those that are suffering from both anxiety sweating and stress attacks, and the sufferer will find this a hard row to hoe in trying to fit in.
Sometimes it doesn't seem to matter what the condition is, if the condition bears a social stigma, then quite often so does the treatment associated with it. Sometimes the way society works in today's world can be a mystery, and nowhere is that evidenced more clearly than in the stigmas that can be applied to some conditions and problems that affect peoples lives, and when the treatments for those conditions are introduced, they have stigmas of their own attached.
For those who are burdened with anxiety sweating, they find little relief in the treatments that we take for granted and are considered the norms of society.
Surgery was being looked into by many frustrated persons who were suffering from this form of sweating and just could not find any regular antiperspirant that would do any good or solve the problem. Another approach to treating someone who has troubles with problem sweating would be to include therapy in their overall treatment.
There is much to be said for including therapy in an overall treatment program for those persons trying to deal with their stress problems, because therapy can help them curb attacks and as a result, lessen the amount of problem sweating that takes place too. In the end, isn't that what you want?
