My Trip To Wayanad - Kerala

Wayanad, the green paradise, is known for its lovely mist clad hill stations, sprawling spice plantations, luxuriant forests and rich cultural traditions. Wayanad is one of the districts in Kerala that has been able to retain its virgin nature.
It is a quiet place where scenic beauty wild life and traditional matter is a virtue as beauty still blossoms from the mountainous horizon and from the green glaze of enchanting vegetation.
Clean and pristine, charismatic and hypnotising this land has a history and mystery, culture and social epistemology yet to be discovered.
Wayanad derives its name from ‘Vayal nadu,’ which means land of paddy fields. With its unique and peculiar geographical position, Wayanad is blessed with mist clad mountains and sylvan valleys. It is situated at an altitude of 700 to 1200 meters from above sea level. The enigmatic geographical features of Wayanad, expressed in mist covered mountains and pastoral valleys, lend this northern district a distinct charm and a amusing challenge for hikers and nature lovers.
