Choosing Which Inflatable Boat For Sale
If you are new to boating its hard to know exactly what inflatable package toy buy, so heres a quick guide to choosing the correct boat for sale. First look at how you are going to use your boat, will it be occasional, or will you be out all the time, in all weathers, what is your budget? And what kind of use - sports, cruising, work. And also how long will the boat be left up - taken down after each use or left up for a week or long weekend.
If you are taking the boat down after each use then opt for airdeck inflatables, if you are leaving it up for a while you can choose between the airdeck and a heavy duty inflatable boat. The heavy duty inflatables take longer to assemble, but when they are up they are more hard wearing and more rigid. If your application is for work then stick to an HD boat. These usually have an aluminum floor and extra tube fabric in strategic positions.
Next look at your budget, if you are one of the lucky ones who can afford to splash out £4000 - £5000 on a new inflatable package then you can look at zodiac, bombard, avon, boats and look at new honda or yamaha outboards for sale, however, ...
... if your decision to choose an inflatable instead of looking at ribs for sale was made on budget, then you will probably be looking at a budget of £1500 - £3500 for your new boat package. So you should then be looking for a quicksilver, honwave or seapro boat. Don’t look at any of the other cheaper boats as they will not last, and are only a few pounds cheaper than the three trusty brands mentioned above. Seapro probably have the edge down to the no quibble warranty and the fact that they are used by rescue services and rescue training services around the country.
Once you have chosen the boat, you now need to look at what engine to propel it. My choice would lie between a new yamaha outboard as the top end, new mariner outboard engines as a great middle priced choice, and parsun outboards win the ‘best buy’ award in most small engine tests in the magazines so go for one of these if you can’t warranty the £2500 for new 15hp mariner outboards for sale.
As a rule of thumb, you should try to go for the largest engine your inflatable will take (so long as you can carry it!). Also when you get your boat package see if the marine chandlers will throw in some good quality launch wheels and a 2 stage 12v air pump!
