Budget Printing: The Right Way
There is both a right way and a wrong way that you, as a customer, can handle your printing budget. However, many wrong notions and misconceptions about the word “budget” prevent people from getting the most out of their money. Ft Worth printers and DFW printers will not always tell you this (They’re not obliged to.), but printing on a budget has nothing to do with low cost printing and everything to do with smart choices and maximizing the value of your money. If you are still stuck on the ways of the uninformed, looking for the cheapest printer, sticking to the most boring designs, and generally just penny-pinching, you better start smarting up and start to do budget printing the right way.
Go for cheap quality. Looking for low cost commercial printing services is only to be expected when printing on a tight budget. However, many commercial printing customers lose their way when they start to look for cheap commercial printers but forget to set quality standards to adhere to. There is no reason to be desperate with your printing ventures because there is always going to be a commercial printer that would be able ...
... to handle all your needs. It only takes a little bit of perseverance and effort, but if you know what you are looking for you will surely find it.
Stop wasting! People rarely realize that the reason their commercial printing expenses skyrocket is because they spend so much money on wasted raw material. The most common culprits are poor proofreading (by the customer) and poor printing procedure (by the commercial printer), which would lead to a lot of unwanted reprints and paper wastes that would have otherwise been avoided with the proper planning and prevention. Just like a small leak in your plumbing will eventually snowball into a humongous water bill, small errors and mistakes should be avoided in order to minimize commercial printing costs as well. Less haggling and more proofreading, I say.
Black and white looks cool, too. If you are going to be printing on a budget, you had better be able to say goodbye to the unneeded luxuries and details in your commercial prints. This means no color, for one thing, because you would not believe how much you can potentially save by going for black and white rather than full color. If you really cannot make do without any color at all, at least try to minimize the color in the design—a compromise per se which would do wonders in reducing your commercial printing expenses. Black and white looks cool, too, as long as you know how to properly use it.
Read the above facts and you are already well on your way to proper budget printing. No more unnecessary stinginess or haggling with your Ft Worth printer or DFW printer, and definitely no more budget headaches every time you order some prints. Always remember: budget printing is not necessarily cheap; it just takes a bit more effort.
