A melodious key board specialist, Nigel Ippinson was also taken in to balance the lead. But a bike accident of John Squire also gave a severe blow to the band when John left the band in 1996.

As rumoured, a secret come back tour was planned by The Stone Roses in 1995, but it was cancelled as the sudden surprise got leaked by the music press. Later the band suffered another major blow when their engagement in the Glastonbury Festival was cancelled in June 1995. Since then, music enthusiasts and the die-hard fans of The Stone Roses have been missing their ‘Love Spreads’. But no more, as just after a few days they will be reuniting again and performing live in their home town right in the Heaton Park of Manchester.
