Snowdonia National Park is one of the UK's brightest gems. Just a short drive from Manchester, this is not just a place where static caravan parks and lodges enjoy beautiful views and clean beaches. For those who enjoy healthy outdoor activities like hill walking, kayaking, and rock climbing it's easily the best of all holiday parks in Wales, if not the best in the whole UK.

The mountains are easily accessible for families and those with knees that aren't as young as they once were. In the summer a narrow gauge rail service even runs up to the summit of Snowdon, the tallest mountain in either England or Wales and one of the craggiest and most scenic in the British Isles. On a clear day it's possible to look down on the glittering Irish Sea from the peak, or across to the forbidding and romantic Carneddau range on the other side of the valley.

Those looking for spectacular views don't even have to get out of the car. The park is criss-crossed with scenic mountain drives that offer truly staggering sights- so much so that they're dotted with lookout car parks where drivers can stop to take in the scenery. There are ...
... very few roads anywhere that make drivers want to slow down and enjoy the experience, and North Wales has more than its fair share.

Like all good holiday parks in Wales, there is also plenty to do in and around Snowdonia when the weather isn't as bright as it could be. Many of the awe-inspiring castles built to subdue the unruly Welsh still stand strong and can be visited all year round. There are indoor rock climbing walls to try and tours of the old slate and copper mines to take. The excitement doesn't end when it starts to rain- the static caravan parks of North Wales are surrounded by adventure opportunities both indoors and out.
