5. Saw Palmetto – This is the current choice for treatment of hair loss in men mainly because of its ability to slow the rate of hair loss, protect prostate and encourage hair growth. The recommended dosage of Say Palmetto is 160mg twice in a day. It is available in capsule form. However you need to make sure that the ingredients are made from berry extract.

6. Stinging Nettle – It is one of the recommended herbs for preventing hair loss as it has an ability to block the conversion of testosterone into DHT.
