If you are unaware, Sudoku Village is an open community and a platform which conducts an internet-based Sudoku solving competition, every day. The 'Daily Sudoku Puzzle Contest' started 18th April 2006, and is going on till date. Participants must be eighteen at least to play in it. Taking part is with no entry fee, and it carries a Cash prize of $5, which will be credited into the account of the victor via PayPal. The one who solves the puzzle accurately in less than the quickest REASONABLE elapsed time shall be offered the prize. Any participant may be the winner no more than once weekly.

... 'Daily Sudoku Puzzle Contest' may be of any level of challenge. Simple, Difficult, or anything at all, by whatever name one call various shades of Sudoku puzzles. Every puzzle must be cracked online (and should not be tried on paper and duplicated in the grid at the contest url). Cracking a Sudoku puzzle within a fair time required to crack it may be considered a sign that the player might have used software tools to crack the Sudoku and those participants could be eliminated from the contest. Those who defraud may not be considered for the Contest - the full regulations should clarify how this will be handled.
