Fibre is a carbohydrate that is obtained in plant cell walls. It is formed of two types; soluble and insoluble. Soluble fibre is the one that dissolves in the water in the digestive system to create a sticky gel like substance whereas insoluble fibre absorbs this water and expands in the digestive tract. Both fibres have no calories, no vitamins and cannot be digested. Though this fibre is still vital to stay healthy and it should be a key part of every person’s diet.

One of the important insoluble benefits of fibre is that it removes waste products from your digestive system. This is done by absorbing water and expanding in the digestive area. This helps in solving the problems like constipation and other such problems.

As fibre contains no calories, it helps to reduce weight of an individual. Soluble fibre can hold foods in your digestive area for longer periods that curbs your appetite. Therefore, by consumption of such foods can give your weight loss plans a noteworthy boost.
