If you are unaware, Sudoku Village happens to be an open community and a platform which manages an online Sudoku solving competition, every day. The Contest began April 18, 2006, and has so far been going on each day. Participants shall be eighteen years of age or more to play in it. Entry is free of charge, and it carries a Cash prize of $5, which will be credited into the account of the winner through PayPal. The one who solves the Sudoku perfectly in less than the minimum REASONABLE time shall be awarded the prize. A player can be the winner no more than once weekly.

... be of varying difficulty levels. Easy, Difficult, or any other level, by whatever name one call different grades of Sudoku puzzles. Every puzzle must be tried using the grid, in the web site (not tried otherwise than online and duplicated on the Sudoku in the competition page). Cracking a Sudoku within the minimum that can be expected to solve it may be considered a pointer that the participant might have used software tools to complete the Sudoku and these participants could be disqualified. Players who cheat may not be considered for the Contest - the complete regulations should explain how this may be done.
