The government sector is known for its ultimate sense of security which is lacking in the private sectors. Apart from this advantage, in the government jobs in India, the employees get the promotion according to their time of service. On the other hand, in private jobs, the situation is actually not like this. The performance of the individual is preferred over the time of service. When the person achieves a high post, the pay scale is also incremented. So, in the government sectors the employee is looked after on the basis of both performance and the time of service unlike the private sectors. You will enjoy both high position and high pay scale if you are able to pass these two factors.

Another benefit that comes along with the government jobs is the respect for their position. You should know that the government officials earn respect in the society concerning their post. ... sectors are high preferred over the private sectors.

Two main divisions of government jobs
It is like something which is the aim of almost every young and experienced Indian job seeker. The Indian government announces several job vacancies every year in several different sectors. In Hindi we call it “sarkari naukri”. These jobs can be broadly categorized in 2 chief divisions that include the jobs allotted under the central government and the jobs allotted under the state government.

Jobs provided under central government are available in income tax department, Central Railways, Judiciary department, central soil conservation department, agriculture department, postal department, financial sectors such as banks, along with several different executive departments.

The jobs provided under the state government are available in the sectors that are well supervised by the state importantly. The major departments under state government are educational institutions, banking institutions, judiciary, financial institution, forest and animal husbandry.

Major Service benefits associated with the government jobs
The major service benefits that you will receive from the central government and state government jobs includes the emoluments, gratuity, housing loan facilities, medical facilities, provident fund and bonus. Moreover, the employees employed under the state government are benefited by the rules and regulations set up by the respective departments in terms of pay scale and several other facilities.

As a government employee you will receive a monthly pay which includes the basic salary, house rent and the dearness allowances. Other than the monthly salary, you will also be given the gratuity which is additional 15 days salary annually. The employee also receives bonuses on several festive occasions plus retirement solutions such as provident fund, insurance, gratuity, salary arrears, and medical benefits. How about the idea of family pension? After retirement, the employee also gets half of his salary in the form of pension. You need to think wisely about the jobs and career in government sector.
