There is plenty of iPhone news with the latest releases of devices and updates available for fans of the increasingly popular Apple Smartphone. Apple stores across the country have been taking iPhone preorders, and recently they have sold out. The online Apple Store updated its shipping estimates for the company's new iPhone 4S.

The Apple Store had listed a delivery date for those ordering for October 14. Apple has since updated its online store to indicate that customers preordering the new Smartphone are going to have to wait, as they will be shipped anywhere from one to two weeks, after the official launch day. So customers reading this right now, and wondering where their iPhone 4S is, it's slowly making its way. In other words, the original launch day stock sold out in the online Apple store. Fans will be trying their luck I'm sure, lining up for hours at their nearest Apple retail location but if you're ordering online, prepare to exercise your patience.

... very] extreme, but for die-hard fans of the iPhone the old-fashioned method of obtaining a new and hot selling product, makes the line up the only way.

Just How Popular is the iPhone Becoming?

According to AT&T, preorders for the Smartphone have made the iPhone 4S the company's most successful iPhone launch ever. AT&T has completed more than 200,000 preorders within the Smartphone's first 12 hours of pre-availability.

Analysts are expecting Apple stocks to skyrocket this holiday season: Brian White, an analyst at Ticonderoga, is calling for total iPhone sales to reach around 27 million between October and December. That figure is relatively matched by Brad Gastwirth of ABR Investment Strategy, who puts total sales at 28 million in the fourth quarter. Ten million is expected from the iPhone 4S alone. Overall, IHS iSuppli Design is expecting the global iPhone market to hit 83.6 million units in 2011. This is impressive, even for the Smartphone giants.
