Shirdi, a popular holy town of India marks a beautiful spiritual journey along with a holy pilgrimage. Shridi, a city in the Ahmadnagar district of Maharashtra is popularly known for being the house of the popular guru Shirdi Sai Baba. This home town of Sai Baba invites huge number of devotees and tourists to experience the embrace of the holy city. This city is surrounded by the simplicity of nature and bears a sublime ambience throughout. There are many other major attractions of Shirdi and the most visited of these are: Gurusthan, Dwarkami, Dixit Wada Museum, Lendi Baug or Lendi Garden and so on.

The three major festivals of Shirdi are Ramnavami, Guru Purnima and Shirdi Vijayadashmi. All of these festivals are celebrated with equal jest and fervor.

Ramnavami, celebrated in the month of March or April every year is the most popular of Shirdi festivals and the town witness a huge crowd during this festival. At the same time Muslim festival Urus is also celebrated and both these festivals together reflects the communal glory of the town. Gurupurnima or Full moon day is another important festival of Shirdi celebrated with much glory and delight. On the other hand Shirdi Vijayadashmi is venerated as a holy day when Shri Saibaba left his mortal body for heavenly abode. This day sees the visits of Sai Baba devotees from every corner of the country. Thus, a visit to Shirdi during festivals avails tourists a sight of glory and enhance the whole trip of the holy town.
