Speedx 3D is an accelerometer controlled tunnel racing game with amazing 3D graphics. Speed your way through ultradynamic tunnels, and test your reflexes in an ultimate speed challenge. The graphics are all geometric shapes rendered at amazing speed. The objective of the game is to survive as long as possible. Use the tilt motion controls to dodge obstacles, and avoid falling off the surface. Each obstacle has a color trial, just before the obstacle appears, use that indicator to get out of the way. Collect bonuses and shields and avoid hazards. You can activate a bonus by tapping anywhere on the screen or by pressing the trackball. You can only use a bonus once, and have one at a time. Shields are activated automatically.

Speedx has three game modes: Stages, Survival and Challenges. In “Stages”, you have to complete a stage to be allowed to move on to the next. A stage consists of 12 runs, and upgrades will be unlocked as you progress through the stages. In “Survival” mode, you select a difficulty level and try to survive as long as possible. Upgrades are not available in this mode. In “Challenges”, you can challenge other players, or accept challenges from them. Upgrades that are active have an icon displayed on HUD, and can be activated by tapping on it.

There are several types of bonuses available in Speedx, ex: Shield, Quake, Time dilation, and Space fold. A shield, can be used to destroy obstacles. One shield is needed to break a cube obstacle, and two are required to destroy a beam. A player can hold up to four shields. A Quake, destroys all visible obstacles when activated. Time dilation, slows down the game and freezes all moving obstacles. A Space fold, ends hazard zones when activated, but has no effect if triggered outside a hazard zone.

During each race there are hazard zones that you have to pass through. Some of the hazard zones in Speedx are: Blackout, Gravity well, Dark Nebula, and Plasma cloud. In a Blackout zone the tunnel is rendered in negative and trails are not visible. In the Gravity well, visibility is limited, and external forces make it necessary to adjust movements. You might encounter a plasma vortex, when you are in the Plasma cloud. A collision with such an obstacle takes away one shield and resets any bonus. You can configure the controls from the settings menu. Enable Openfeint to share scores with friends, and meet other players who love the game. Speedx is a fun, challenging game with addictive gameplay.
