How to reach Darjeeling?
Darjeeling can be easily reached from the town of Siliguri. This town is well connected to other parts of India by train and road. Bagdogra is the airport near Siliguri. There are regular flights to Bagdogra from Kolkata. One has the option of travelling by rail or road from Siliguri to Darjeeling. Bus service and car/jeep on hire are easily available. If one opts for train travel then it’s the famous "Toy Train" that one has to take. Established in 1881 by the British, it is now a World Heritage Site.
