Children Born Under The Sign Of Cancer

Do you have children born under the sign of Cancer? Children are typically sensitive, responsive, affectionate and kind. They are apt to need much love and reassurance, especially at home and from Mom.
Your Cancer children may be a little dreamy. You may seem them perfectly content to snuggle up with a book on their lap or watch television instead of going out to play with other kids, unless it is an activity that really interests them. When in a group, Cancer children will most likely go along with the flow instead of taking the initiative or perhaps remain completely passive about what’s going on.
The best way to get them involved is to encourage them to come up with their own games or ideas about how best to play them. Cancers are highly imaginative beings and once left to themselves can surprise you with their creative output, whether in terms of ideas or material result.
Traditions, rituals, and routines also comfort your Cancer child, so it's very important that you share family meals regularly and set a bath-and-bedtime routine for her to follow. Cancer children are cautious and sensitive by nature ...
... and can easily become overwhelmed in noisy, chaotic situations. Your little one might prefer a quiet afternoon baking cookies to a day at the amusement park.
Give your Cancer child a small plant or pet to care for, and she'll know what to do almost instinctively. Nurturing is in a Cancer's nature, so don't be surprised if your child ends up bringing home every stray dog she finds! Your job as her parent will be to provide a stable home foundation and lots of loving affection, since emotional security is one of a Cancer's primary needs.
Food is also important to Cancer children. They do best with a regular, wholesome, and simple diet. Avoid rich or heavy foods that could upset their delicate digestive system.
You will need to give constant reassurance when your Cancer child is fearful, which is likely to be often. These children are very sensitive to emotional hurts and rejections and will need your support to ensure that they do not feel unloved. The danger is that they may withdraw into themselves for self-protection.
You should encourage your child to express emotions in poetry, painting, music, acting or any other creative activity. Parents will need to find a compromise between being too firm and spoiling your child.
In a word, family plays a very important role in the life of Cancer children. Let your love and family warmth surround them.
