Abacus mental math is one of the most effective methods of learning abacus mental arithmetic. The three step process of learning mental math is becoming popular among parents and teachers because it develops child's creative and logical side. It is important for students to excel mental arithmetic in order to make their career in any math oriented field. Quick mental calculations are of immense help, for they not only give student an upper-hand among their peers (because not everyone can do calculations mentally) but also make their performance more confident and accurate.

Abacus Academy works on developing the confidence in your child by helping him perform math calculations easily. Let's take a look what the three prime teaching steps of abacus mental math offers:

1. Foundation Stage: At this stage professionals working in the academy, help the kids (in between 3 to 6 age group)in practicing simple math using abacus. This helps kids in building their foundation for the subject mentally. Practical use of abacus for about ...
... 20 to 30 minutes a day helps them in becoming familiar with each bead and column and they quickly master the abacus.

2. Semi-Abstract Stage: As soon as a child masters columns of abacus he/she is shifted to this semi-abstract stage of learning, Abacus mental math. The abacus mental math teachers then introduce a picture of abacus instead of abacus. This makes kids do the movements and regrouping of the beads within their minds. Practicing with a picture regularly for an hour makes student quick at calculations.

3. Abstract Stage: Once a kid excels at calculation with the use of abacus picture, he han performs the calculations without picture. As the name suggest the stage involves abstract calculation skills. Soon the kids become efficient at doing calculations without using an actual or a paper abacus. At this stage, they already know each bead and column of the abacus by heart, so they can easily and quickly do mental calculations.

Though these stages may seem easy, the process takes lots of time because the technique largely depends upon a child individual capability of retention and memory. Learning the abacus Learning takes time but helps the children performing math calculations easily throughout their life.

Abacus Franchisee is based on simple but effective teaching objectives of Abacus. The academy offers to its student's simple guidelines to be quick in abacus mental maths calculations.
