Sometimes a simple add on significantly improves the performance of a vehicle. Air plays a vital role in the combustion process inside the engine. It is the oxygen component of the air which is crucial for the combustion of the mix of fuel and air. In an automobile there is already a system which allows air to come into the engine. Cold air intake is an add on which brings in plentiful supply of cold atmospheric air into the engine without any hindrance in its path. If there is paucity of air the combustion process will not be complete and the engine will generate less power than what it is designed to generate. Cold air is preferred because it is denser than the hot air. Air inside the engine becomes hot and light which means there is less of air by weight inside the engine. Cold air means more of air to help combustion. Cold air intake is not costly and it is not difficult to install it but its benefits are substantial.

Hood is a very simple part of an automobile and it does not require much of engineering, but it is of great use as it protects the engine and the adjacent machinery from rain and other outside elements. ...
... Hoods made of carbon fiber are also available. These hoods are much lighter than the hoods made of metal or any other material. By use of these hoods overall weight of a vehicle is considerably reduced. A lighter vehicle will need less power to move; so you can economize on fuel expenditure by using carbon fiber hoods. Moreover, the weight is reduced over the front wheels of the vehicle which gives it a better balance. Its maneuvering becomes easier. There can be vents in the carbon fiber hood which will allow the air to come in and keep the engine cool. Such hoods are lighter but they are durable. Hood is a very visible part and carbon fiber hoods can be made in attractive designs to catch onlookers’ eyes.

You can look for and select cold air intakes and carbon fiber hoods at automobile dealers or also on the internet. You can know more about cold air intakes at www.ilovebodykits.com.
