Future Beyond Degrees

The biggest question lies in what would be life beyond qualification and after best professional course degree what a person can do that? ’Goal setting’ is essentially business parlance and relatively less-used in day-to-day life. Goal-setting is for Life and well beyond the Qualification! Even the most ambitious parents set limited goals for their children-Acquire an education-Get a degree/diploma- Get a ‘secure’ job-Get married-Live happily ever after! This ‘goal’ is relatively short-termed, aimed only at passing exams, getting jobs and getting ‘settled’ in life, and does not motivate the individual to do any independent thinking or prepare him/her for the ‘larger picture’ of life!
Life lies beyond the Degree/ Diploma. Life also lies beyond st6udying in school of business management. Your qualification will open the first door in practical life. Your talent will open the second but it is your attitude that will open the rest of the doors. Talent is your inborn ability ...
... to do something special which others around you may have in varying degrees or may be totally undiscovered. Attitude is what you do with your talent. For example. Asha Bhosale, the younger sibling of Lata Mangeshkar was born talented but as, it is “Practice that makes a (wo) man perfect”, she practiced hard. Her ‘riyaaz’ ran into several hours of the day. She was often compared to her more famous sister. Asha did not want to be overshadowed and wanted to establish her own identity. It was her attitude and her passion and some creative thinking about ‘positioning’ her voice, taking the risk of being ‘typecast’ in that slot coupled with her self-confidence that steered her towards her goal.
Let’s understand the application of creative thinking. Problems exist everywhere but it is recommended that “Don’t bring your problems to the marketplace, bring your skills”. If I hold an apple and ask you how many apples I have. Well most of you will say one. But if you do some creative thinking, what is there in an apple with seeds and what if you plant those seeds…you will get a tree, and on that tree you will get infinite apples….. What you just did is, you simulated the whole process in your brain. The front part of your brain is called the cortex. It is the Simulation generator. In order to attain your goals, you can simply simulate and visualize them as per the result you want and find solutions by thinking creatively. This is also called ‘Positive Imagery’
If you have a goal you will not find the pathway to it in a text book, you will have to live it every day. First thing in the morning and just before sleeping visualize your goals with full concentration and apply some ‘Creative Thinking’ to attain them. “Formal education will get you a living but self education will get you a fortune”. Same applies with professional education institutes also. Set goals for life, well beyond the Qualification, for they are the real goals!
