It is well known to most of the tourists around the world that Tuscany is the most beautiful land of Italy and top tourist destination round the year. With its grandeur hill towns, majestic monuments, rolling hills and scenery, Tuscany usually entices visitors and lures them to visit the place again and again. Tuscany’s travel destinations include medieval hill towns, historic cities, majestic monuments, great wine, art and cultural spots, culinary tradition destination, beautiful countryside and dazzling beaches.

Chianti Region

The route to Chianti region consists of villages of the Chianti Classico wine region garnished with beautiful Tuscany villas and ancient farmhouses. The vineyards and wooded hills of the Chianti are best explored along its winding back roads or from within its sleepy hamlets. Pisa

Well known for the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the city attracts thousands of tourists every year. There are wide range of sites on Piazza dei Miracoli which includes the city cathedral, baptistery (Italy’s largest) and Camposanto. The Cathedral dates from 1063 although most of the interior was rebuilt after a fire in 1595. While on your tour to Pisa, you can also visit the homes of Lord Byron and Shelley and take a stroll along the river that makes you more relaxing and happy.

Siena

Siena is a classic medieval hill town in Tuscany famous for its large fan shaped piazza, Piazza del Campa and summer horse race known as Il Palio. The tall bell tower and the majestic cathedral of Siena form the major tourist’s attractions of Siena. From the top of the bell tower, you can view the amazing picture of the city whereas the city’s cathedral is stripped with white and black marble with its magnificently decorated interior. Siena was originally Etruscan and then colonized by the Romans. It is a truly majestic place with Italy’s finest piazza, the Campo, at its centre. The Campo is the stage for the famous ‘Palio’ horse race where historic noble families from different city districts pitch their horses and jockeys against each other. The race is on barebacked horses twice annually.

San Gimignano

Known as the city of beautiful towers, San Gimignano is a classic medieval walled hill town in Tuscany. The architecture of the city was influenced by Pisa, Siena and Florence. There are 14th century paintings of the Sienese School to be seen and 15th century paintings of the Florentine School. When in San Gimignano, it is worth visiting the Museo d'Arte Sacra, Museo Civico/Torre Grossa, Piazza della Cisterna, Rocca and Sant’ Agostino.
