In the health care profession there are many different levels of professional required. Obviously doctors and surgeons are required and these individuals need to study and train for many long years to

get qualified. After that there are a number of further years practice in a training hospital to become any good. This may also be followed with specialist training and board certification. Board certified

specialist have probably studied for 12 or 13 years and written many exams in the process. Their job is the diagnosis and the actual treatment of a patient's malady.

Obviously this is not for

everybody. Within a Hospital environment there is a cadre of Nurses, sister and matrons who run a hospital and attend to patients medical and physical needs. Many of these also require long years of

training and certification along with examinations. A Matron is very senior in a hospital as she is thoroughly trained with many years experience in all aspects plus a bent for administration. Sisters have

to qualify in each speciality so they may be specialist nurses in the theatre, or in child ...
... care, midwifery medical aftercare and so on. A lot of medical training and knowledge is required in the fields being

worked on.

But there is still a massive gap in health care. There is the need for home care, for the physical assistance required which does not necessarily involve a lot of medical knowledge

but does require hands and endless empathy. People who excel here are those who love helping and caring for others. The work will largely involve feeding, bathing and dressing as well as assistance

with other bodily needs of the ill.

Very often working outside of hospital, possibly in a nursing home, or the private home of an ill or infirm person Certified Nurses Assistants are people who

take direct care of patient's when their medical condition no longer or doesn't warrant hospitalisation but nevertheless they are in need of daily care. Other places where you may find suitable work is in

a doctor's surgery in a private practice or in clinics for specific purposes such as blood donors or pre-natal training etc.

to find out. It does require a commitment of time to do the training. As part of the learning process you will be taking instructions from and assisting doctors and nurses in their daily routines.

understand their symptoms or treatment are likely to get agitated, whereas if they are fully informed they tend to be calm and respond to treatment better.
