Have you ever had one of those days, when your mind seems to be all over the place?

My entire week, last week, was filled with moments like that. No matter how hard I focused, it seemed as though even the smallest tasks were difficult to accomplish.

This scenario happens a lot more than any of us probably wish it did.

The confusion…

The overwhelm…

…trying to lift the weight of the world off our shoulders and keep business rolling smoothly.

Personally, I just got back from a 3 day trip to Niagara Falls with my family.

It’s amazing how a simple change in scenery can totally refresh your mind and inspire new ideas. That was my experience this weekend, and it’s created a lot of optimism for the future.

Have you give yourself a chance to rest, lately?

One of the biggest assets you have in your business will always be your mind and the ability to think clearly.

That’s why it’s important to tackle any problems before they affect your
business.

Some people might instinctively try to “force” their minds to be clearer. However, that’s ...
... probably one of the quickest ways to add additional stress.

It’s kind of like asking your mind “Are we there yet?” on repeat!

You might be amazed at how powerful just using your subconscious to solve problems and clear your thoughts.

If, on the other hand, you want to try something more direct, here are a few things I’ve found useful for getting motivated and having a clearer vision:

#1 – Location, Location, Location

When we spend too much time in a specific area, we tend to fall into routines.

That usually means going through the motions, with little-to-no need for change or improvement.

By getting away and changing your current environment, you’re able to step back, wake your mind up and look at the bigger picture.

#2 – Get Back To Spirituality

It’s probably no surprise, but prayer and spirituality, in general, have proven to be very beneficial to health and well-being.

It has been tied to creating positive feelings…

Eliminating stress…

Positivity….

…in short, better health, in general.

Plus, whether it be a result of your actual meditation, or just through knowing you have a source of comfort…

…spirituality can increase our confidence, which strengthens our ability to tackle unwanted fears.

One book you might enjoy is getting in the Gap, by Wayne Dyer.

#3 – Shake It Out: Play With Your Kids, Exercise, etc.

Just goofing off with my kids and hugging and playing silly games is often refreshing.

If you don’t have children, you could also consider getting out and exercising.

#4 – Meditations and Affirmation

This one is huge for me…

Meditation is a great escape and, just like with example 2, has many health benefits

It’s been linked to better reaction time, self esteem, memory, concentration, etc.

Affirmations are a great addition to meditating and are also good for people that are just starting out.

Essentially, they’re a way to reprogram your mind and help you to feel as if something is true.

For example, you might have one that says:

“I possess an abundant supply of energy and draw upon it at will!”

Or…

“I am easily able to persevere and finish any task that I undertake…”

For meditation, you can also access “guided meditations”. These are recording meditations that are used to walk you through the process.

Recently, I discovered hypnosis audio by Glenn Harold.

It’s probably one of the best hypnosis programs I’ve ever had the chance to experience.

Main Takeaway: Although it’s important to have a clear, focused mind, try not to force it.

There are many techniques you can use to center your thoughts. Meditation, playing and exercising, or simply going away for a little can have a dramatic positive impact on your life and your business!
