With a thirty million dollar luxury nightlife empire, Mark Birnbaum is undoubtedly the reigning hospitality mogul who has given to the nightlife a completely new meaning. As a promotional director, Mark Birnbaum helped in launching and managing a nightclub in Ithaca, which covered an area of 22,000 sq. yards. This led to the formation of Mark’s nightlife consulting company called Operative Inc in 2002, which was responsible for launching Lobby, a voguish nightclub in Manhattan. In 2003, Mark took over the promotions, marketing and event management of AER lounge that gained landmark popularity in nightlife history. The EMM group was formed by Mark Birnbaum along with Eugene Remm and entrepreneur Michael Hirtenstein in the year 2006 and have been diversifying successfully ever since then. The group today has lounges, luxury concierge service, and restaurants along with the EMM estate in Hamptons, which hosts the most exclusive events during the summer, such as the fashion week.

Their first successful venture was Tenjune with an area of 5000 sq. yards followed with the purchase of EMM Estate. In 2009, they launched the Chandelier Room in the W hotel with its floor to ceiling windows and the large over sized Chandelier for which it is named. The EMM group has also forayed in to good wining and dining experience at Abe & Arthur’s restaurant dedicated to their partner’s grandfathers.
