Cold Air Intake - Improves Efficiency Of The Engine

Manufacturers of automobiles strive to improve the efficiency of the engines so that you get more power from a given quantity of fuel. Some aftermarket products are also installed for the same purpose. Cold air intake is one such aftermarket product. It brings in cold atmospheric air into the engine. A constant supply of air is essential for the combustion process. During this process the mix of fuel and air is ignited in the engine to generate power. The oxygen component of air is the active ingredient in the combustion process. If there is less of oxygen the combustion process will not be complete and the engine will generate less power than what is expected from it. It has to be noted that the intake brings in cold air which further improves the performance. During combustion the engine becomes hot and so does the air inside. Hot air is lighter which means there is less of air by weight inside the engine. Cold air is dense and is beneficial for the combustion. The engine thus generates more power from the same quantity of fuel. ...

The basic function of a vehicle is to move to transport people or goods. It has also to move safely and for that purpose the driver must have a clear view of the road ahead of him. At night or when the visibility is poor due to fog or any other reason headlights have to be used to enable the driver to see clearly on the road. Since the cars now move faster, brighter headlights are needed to illuminate a longer stretch of road. Fortunately now we have brighter sources of light like halogen lights, LED lights, or High Intensity Discharge {HID) lights which are also used in headlights. Headlights may be bright but they have to be so located that they do not blind the driver of the vehicle coming from the opposite side or dimmers are used for this purpose. Since headlights are so very visible their designers create them in attractive and innovative designs to also serve as a decorative feature.
