Xerox Phaser 6280

The Xerox Phaser 6280 laser printer is a brilliant entry level, network ready machine and is easily suited for home users or small to medium sized businesses. Xerox has created a cost effective machine without compromising print quality. With a monthly duty cycle of 70,000 pages this printer is ideal if you need a machine which is small, super quick and can cope with a large volume of printing.
There are a number of options with this machine when considering Xerox Phaser 6280 toner. The machine is shipped with cyan, magenta, yellow and black toners. When the starter Xerox toner needs replacing you are then given the choice of two different toner capacities. The first is black with a page yield of 3,000 pages and cyan, magenta and yellow yielding 2,800 pages. The second higher yield option is certainly more cost effective, giving toner yields of 7,000 pages for the black and 5,900 pages for the cyan, magenta and yellow. The printer ...
... does not require any other consumables as the drum is handily integrated into the toner cartridge. The standard paper handling on this machine is 400 sheets, with an option to increase this to 950 sheets. On all printer models the first input tray handles 150 sheets and the second input tray takes 250 sheets. Xerox has then given their customers the opportunity to purchase an additional 550 sheet tray, which fits both models.
The printer is designed to function on both PC and Mac operating systems and supports Linex, Mac OS 10.3 and above, Windows 2000/XP and Vista. To utilise the network capabilities, an Ethernet cable will be required and to make the printer wireless an optional network adapter can be purchased. Xerox has recognised the need to make the installation process painless and connection is via a USB 2.0 cable.
Stunning printing can be achieved on a wide range of media including banner sheets, booklet printing and posters. The print resolution of 600 x 600 x 4 dpi gives a depth and clarity to both images and text. The engine on the Xerox Phaser 6280 ink has been created to produce unbelievably fast timings when churning pages out. Initially, the first page out takes 10 seconds for both black and white and colour and then 25 pages per minute for colour and 30 pages per minute for mono printing.
This is an intelligent machine equipped with 400 MHz processor and 256mb of memory expandable to 1.28 GB. Xerox also offers an additional 40 GB hard drive if your print requirements are on the higher side. Double-sided printing is a stock function on the Phaser 6280DN and can be achieved with an upgrade on the base model 6280N model.
