Open A New Function

3. Sometimes, it’s advisable to use a sheet, shawl, rug, sari, material or different textile as a tablecloth or runner if you want to surprise your guests. By the way, dishtowels or material napkins may serve as excellent runners. Just locate the napkins in a diagonal down the middle of the table or put the dishtowels from end to end. Such new fabric may add new life to the meal and the surrounding.

Pay Attention To the Windows

4. You may buy an additional curtain and make a runner that would perfectly match into the whole design of the room. It would be great to use this curtain fabric to make a border on solid color napkins that would also match the runner.

Impress Your Guests

5. You may use impressive and interesting things like framed photographs, wrapping or wallpaper, mirrors, cork or tiles in the function of runners. Besides, such outdoor issues as branches, vines, grass and shallow containers or even trays of stones can be used to create an impressive elegant table. And remember there’re no rules for serving the table, just do it the way you like!

Simplicity Is In Fashion

6. It’s better to use simple colors for table runners and cloths on a table that has a great variety of different plates and decorations. It’s advisable to keep the patterns muted or select strong colors in order not to confuse your guests. Otherwise, they will feel somewhat uncomfortable. Remember, your major responsibility while making a festive dinner is to make your guests relax, enjoy your hospitality, communication with each other and just to taste delicious food.
