Although the shape remains the same, Houseboats are two to three storied affairs with one to five bedrooms on offer. Apart from sleeping space, there is a dining space and sit out – open on all sides from where tourists can savor the landscape while meandering through the backwaters.
Kumarakom deserves special mention in backwater tourism. It is a tiny village which is blessed by all bounties of Kerala backwaters.
