How To Compose A Commercial Cover Letter

Business cover letters are responsible to make that first 5 second impression on the reader, and if you fail to impress him in couple of seconds, than you have failed to get through with your content as well. And if you believe you will get through with the e-mail cover letter simply printed and sent by a regular post, than you are wrong. This is because the way to read over these two media differs vastly.
Distributing the business cover letter over email
Internet made it possible to mass mail millions of people worldwide, hence your competitive advantages begin with composing a better cover letter or sales letter than the others, which is a very hard thing to accomplish. This does not mean that a real-world established (or fledging) business can not or should not send promotionals over email. Both possibilities (mail and regular post) are therefore advisable and acceptable.
Using e-mail to spread the word about your new product or service, requires the implementation of some key guidelines on email business cover letters:
1. Using the right length, language and colors in your business cover letter ...
... may help you get the advantage in the minds of your target audience. Try to follow these few simple steps:
a. The so called KISS philosophy - keep it short and simple.
Use Readers Digest style of English for best results. Do not use exaggerations or words that are uncommon or even strange.
b. Paragraph length - the paragraph length should not exceed seven lines.
Anything over this limit and the reader's eyes would be too tired to want to continue reading.
c. If you can stay professional, objective and interesting in your paragraphs, than you are allowed to write them as many as you feel necessary.
However, the ideal length of a business cover letter would be about four to six paragraphs.
d. Keep the colors appealing and not overshadowing the importance of the content.
Fingers away from using color underlying for important words or sentences. If you simply can not resist using strong colors, than try not to mix warm and hot color tones too close to each other. If you really want to use color use maximum two-three colors and only when needed.
Try to make your color scheme such that it supports the content, it should invite the reader to read through the whole content and not being distracted by too many pictures or colors.
2. The subject line is a tricky thing, you have to avoid landing in the junk mail.
Without knowing the name or the ID number of the person you are trying to e-mail, it will be hard to follow up on how many of your business letters ended up deleted by the user or by the mail client. At least one individual or personal detail in the subject line of your business letter may get you through all those obstacles safely and reliably.
3. The body of your business cover letter is the crucial part of your email campaign, it will decide on whether you sell or fail.
You should be able to open a dialogue channel with the prospective customer, who would help you sell your services and products to them. Whoever receives an email offer with your business cover letter, should be given an incentive to ask for more information about your services or products, hence try to open as many communication doors with them as possible.
There will be only one chance to generate sales with your email list and so many chances to spoil your business cover letter campaign, hence a campaign like that has to be planned carefully and with patience.
