"India is blessed by a precious jewel i.e. Kerala. A state in the south India, Kerala spreads its magnificence everywhere. It a place that has been created and blessed by the Gods themselves so rightly called the God's own country. Though Kerala is occupied by numerous places like beaches, backwaters, lagoons, sanctuaries etc. to observe but some of the places that are a must so as to enjoy Kerala’s authentic splendor are:
Kovalam Beach – One of the most popular beaches in Kerala is the Kovalam beach. Kovalam actually consists of three falcate shaped beaches which are divided by pebbly outcroppings. The Light House Beach is the larger of the beaches having a 35 meter high light house with Kurumkal hillock. The second largest one is Eve’s or Hawah Beach In fact it was the first topless beach in India. The third one is the Ashok beach. All kinds of sports like surfing, skiing, kayaking can be enjoyed in the Kovalam Beach.

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary – Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is placed on the banks of Vembanad Lake. It is bliss for bird lovers. This bird sanctuary has a variety of home inhabitants like Waterfowl, Owls, Cuckoo, Egrets, Parrots, Herons Water Ducks, Teal, Larks, Flycatchers and Wood Beetle. It is home for Siberian cranes too.
Alleppey Backwaters – The Alleppey backwaters in Kerala is broadly referred to as the Venice of East. You can sail around the Alleppey Backwaters in a houseboat enjoying picturesque views like paddy fields, secluded islands, men fishing. Don’t dare to miss the brilliant experience of sailing through the backwaters of Kerala. Moreover, the Alleppey Backwaters is also hosts the incredibly famed annual Nehru Trophy Boat Race.
