York Regional Police threatened her to be charged with criminal organization as well if she kept herself as unspoken, says Roberta McNabb. Her silence was considered as hindrance to further proceedings by the police. Police laid unsubstantial charges on her and left all legal procedures up to the lawyers and crown. A snapshot obtained by Star for its Crime and Punishment series from the police database 2005 revealed that some 500,000 cases for people without convictions were there in Canadian Police Information Center. Roberta Mcnabb said all the charges were biased and so withdrawn by the crown as the police had no evidence against her innocence. At the end, Roberta Mcnabb proved as innocent from all the charges pressed by York Police over her.
