Travel to Italy always involves more than just a holiday. Art, culture and history are features that are present in every corner where we go. Italy also has such a long spell which is always the temptation to catch one of those cheap vuelos to surrender it again.

Rome, Florence, Venice, Naples cities ... are well known and very famous. Admired and photographed constantly by all, such is the beauty that hold many people think that in this country as "boot" can not be more beautiful places. But no, there is an Italy not so well known but also possessing an incredible beauty from the point of view and artistic landscape.

The island of Ischia is one of those Italian places worth visiting. It is one of the three islands near Naples are bathed by the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the other two are the famous Capri and Procida. Gradually the international tourism draws to its shores, this has caused the proliferation of charming hotels overlooking the sea in which the pan is a feast for the senses. In one of these luxury hotels are filmed the movie "The Talented Mr. Ripley."

The coast of the island of Ischia is impressive, consisting of 46 km in length where the volcanic hills stand alongside the golden beaches. All is peace and relaxation. A wonderful place of Ischia is the population of San Angelo, fishing village full of shops where you can buy handicrafts made with seafood. The geographical setting of San Angelo is a beautiful promontory that is introduced into the crystal waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. This population is preferred by the tourists and also has typical Mediterranean style hotel where peace and relaxation is optimal.

The most notable landmark is the Castle of Ischia Aragones. It sits on a volcanic rock which is connected to the island by a bridge built by King Alfonso of Aragon in 1438. In its day it was inhabited by 1900 families who were protected from attack by pirates who frequented the Tyrrhenian Sea. The castle is huge and that inside has 13 churches, museums and monasteries. The castle cathedral is a marvel from the artistic point of view and has a crypt where you can admire a set of frescoes by Giotto school.

To reach this beautiful island is pretty easy, just fly to Naples (there are many vuelos baratos that take us to this Italian city) and from there take a ferry. Of course, no regret.
