Borrowing from multiple sources and irregular repayment or non-repayment of the outstanding get the borrowers stained with less payment, late payment, arrears, defaults, bankruptcy etc. The borrowers who have been trapped by multiple debts cannot secure fresh finance, because they are not entertained by the lenders. They must contact debt management experts for debt management plan which is actually a useful financial solution.

Debt management plan refers to some concrete planning to help the borrowers in getting rid of serious trouble. Expert professionals of debt management ask the concern borrower to provide him with total information of his financial deals. They acquire documents of receipts and payments that the borrower has with him. It is necessary for the debt management expert to study the following before he devises an adequate debt management plan:

1. Finance borrowed in total
2. Terms and condition, repayment duration, rates of interest etc.
3. Final outstanding
4. Records of payment and of non-payment
5. Particulars of the borrower (his name, address of contact, ...
... bank account etc.)
6. Particulars of the finance providers (their name, address of contact etc.)
7. Financial capacity of the borrower (his monthly earning etc.)

Debt management plan is devised on the basis of these documents, and the debt management expert does not prescribe anything which cannot be implemented practically. He, then, creates and develops an agreement paper which contains several proposals. He approaches some credit grantors and tries to convince them why they should come forward to invest.

When he gets a credit grantor, he puts the debt development plan before the borrower and tries to understand if the borrower is ready to accept the proposals. Debt management plan is an agreement between the borrower and the credit grantor. The latter agrees to offer the finance which is the total of the amounts payable by the borrower to several lenders. He agrees to offer the same at certain terms and condition. The agreement is signed if both the parties (the borrower and the credit grantor) are happy with the terms and condition.

The agreement on the debt management plan is legally valid. This is to suggest that the borrower and the credit grantor are legally bound by the terms and condition of the agreement. The agreement will be mentioned in the credit report of the borrower for five years.
