After all, you not only want to make sure that you are choosing the right type of printers and paper when you're doing any type of check printing, you also want to make sure that you are choosing the security options which are necessary for your business. In many printers that are set up for secure printing, you have the option of locking the printer tray so that nobody has access to that paper, except the person that is holding the key. There may also be other solutions that are available and you may find them more or less convenient, depending upon your specific needs.

If you're going to be printing secure checks, you will want to make sure that you have MICR fonts at your disposal. That acronym stands for magnetic ink character recognition, and by having those fonts, you have the ability to print the special characters and numbers that are found at the bottom of financial documents and checks. In some cases, they will include the account number, such as a checking account number that will be written at the bottom of the checks, and if that is the case, that will also include the routing number and perhaps additional specific information about the financial institution.

Finally, if you're going to be printing checks regularly, make sure that you have access to the paper and specialty inks that are necessary for you to do so with confidence. There are always going to be options that are available to you so by making yourself familiar with the options that are available in advance, you will find that it is much easier for you to print checks and to do so in a way where they will be secured for your protection.
