Stop and think before you buy BB guns

Hang fire for a minute before you head to your nearest supplier of BB guns. Do you really know enough about Airsoft guns to purchase a gun in total confidence? If you’re new to BB guns, perhaps taking up the hobby for the first time, there are some things you need to know. For starters, forget about buying realistic types of BB guns unless you’re a member of a registered club, you’ll have to begin with a two-tone pistol or rifle. They’re easy to distinguish between real firearms with their vibrant two-tone colours. Plus you’ll need to be over the age of 18 as well if you want to buy BB guns, anything younger and you’ll need adult supervision.

Safety is paramount with BB guns

It goes without saying really but BB guns should be fired in a safe setting, taking great care and attention at all times. You’re not only responsible for your own safety when using BB guns; you need to give due care and attention to the people around you as well. Adopt a few routine procedures

Buy one or more BB guns and start out as you mean to go on. If you follow a few simple procedures from the start there’s no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy shooting your Airsoft guns on a regular basis. As already mentioned safety is a key factor with BB guns, so when the gun is being used it should only be pointed at the target, not at any person, even as a joke. It’s worth getting into the habit of ensuring the safety catch is on BB guns when they are not being used, and place the safety cap on the muzzle as well. Take out the magazine and the battery of BB guns when they’re not in action, that’ll render the gun useless. Follow these few simple procedures and enjoy happy shooting in the future, whichever type of BB gun you decide to buy.
