LED fire lights these days come with some excellent features that prove to be highly useful in the most critical of situations. Optical enhancements and efficient thermal management are very important especially for fire lights largely because the temperature of the ambience is very high when there is a fire and the efficiency of LEDs tends to decrease at high temperatures. There are several features which are seen in fire lights, so that the lighting is effective under critical situations. Ultra bright lights are used in fire lighting equipment to ensure that one can see through the dense smoke which reduces the overall visibility. To add to the luminosity, reflectors and lenses are used, which help in enhancing the intensity of the light. Highly efficiency firelights are microprocessor controlled which makes them easy to switch on and off and also very easy to operate with simple push button switches that can be operated even when one is wearing gloves.

LED fire lights usually come with rugged construction so that they can handle heavy duty usage. In some cases specifically designed clips are used to ...
... attach the lights to the helmets to free up the hands of the firefighters. The clips are specifically designed to ensure that they don’t deform like ordinary metal clips usually do. Hands free usage is also provided by clips which grab on to the belt or which can be attached to the wrist with the help of a strap. Hands free usage is extremely important in firelights and it enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of the firefighters in critical conditions.

A very important aspect of the LED fire lights is that they are designed to operate for long hours. In fact, they can provide highly focused and powerful beams and that too for long hours. Deep dish generators are used in some cases to produce parabolic beams that can provide beams with great visibility that will help in seeing through the smoke. The high luminosity of the LEDs which are rated for a long lifespan as well proves to be very effective, especially operating with low voltage, low current and simple and portable power supply. The energy efficiency of the fire lights ensures that one can use them for longer periods without running out of battery.

There are special LED fire lights which come with flood reflectors and spot reflectors on either side of the light for maximum efficiency. The combination of various optical enhancements ensures that the beams have wide angle coverage and at the same time achieve greater visibility. Durable fire lights made of tough nylon or polycarbonate construction can prove to be handful when they can be easily carried around and are extremely easy to operate, especially with 3-mode rocker switches with strobes, locators and on/off buttons. The helmet mounted lights, in particular, are extremely small, and provide a great example of how functionality and portability can be so easily blended to ensure there is enough help for fire fighters during critical situations when they need highly powerful, focused light beams.
