Giacomo Mattioli Looks Forward To Launching The New Ferrari 458 Spider In The California Market
The new Ferrari 458 Italia Spider debuted in Fiorano on September 7th 2011 where 800 Ferrari clients and special guests from all over the world were invited to enjoy the exclusive World Premiere. As part of the launch, 70 Ferraris Spider did a rally from Forte deiMarmi to Maranello. After the rally, the unveiling ceremony took place in Fiorano, followed by spectacular fireworks. Guests were truly impressed by the new addition to the Ferrari product range; comments went from “absolutely fantastic”, to “the most beautiful spider - and I have been driving spiders since 1995”, to “better than I thought, I love the car, the finish, everything is styling…I can’t wait for mine”, to “absolutely brilliant”, to “luxury, speed, comfort: everything that a guy could dream about”.
Following this exclusive and private event, the 458 Spider was unveiled to the public at the 64th Frankfurt International Auto Show, and was showcased together with the Ferrari California (mid-front-engine V8 GT),the revolutionary four seater Ferrari FF, the 599 GTB with the HGTE Package and, for the motor racing category, the Fomula ...

The Ferrari 458 Spider will be presented to the North American market at the end of November in Miami, followed by intimate private receptions and viewing events at a more local level. The first deliveries are planned for April 2012 and the actual waiting list is over one year. Giacomo Mattioli, president of Ferrari Maserati Beverly Hills, is expecting another great success in the Ferrari history with the introduction of the Ferrari 458 Spider “this car combines the convertible concept with a hard top that promises and guarantees the same quietness of a coupe, when the top is up. Not to mention the advantages coming from the new Ferrari patent that makes the 458 Spider the only car that keeps the same weight as the coupe (normally spider versions are heavier).” The Ferrari 458 Spider, as the coupe 458 Italia, has a 4.5 liter V8, with a mid-rear engine that was nominated as the 2011 International Engine of the Year for its engineering excellence. This, paired with Ferrari’s class-leading dual-clutch F1 paddle-shift transmission, delivers 0 to 62 mph acceleration in less than 3.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 320 km/h. Thanks to its Ferrari patented fully retractable aluminum hard top, the Ferrari 458 Spider offers the same uncompromising technological solutions, handling and performance. The Ferrari 458 Spider guarantees maximum sportiness and absolute driving pleasure with the top down, thanks to the balanced calibration of its accelerator pedal mapping and the damping of the multilink suspension. At Ferrari Maserati Beverly Hills, we look forward to welcome the Ferrari 458 Spider to the California market. Mr. Mattioli and his sales team are confident it will be a tremendous success.
