The Cancer Fighting Food To Include In Your Grocery List

In our days one of the most dreaded health conditions is having cancer, and the scientists have found that in some cases a healthy diet helps avoiding it, so include in your diet cancer fighting foods.
Cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower
They all have indole-3-carbinol that can prevent breast cancer, so they become anti cancer foods. Broccoli and sprouts also have another chemical that can prevent several kinds of cancer, such as colon cancer and rectal cancer. It has been shown that the bitterer the broccoli is, the better the effects are.
Beans
These are said to be cancer fighting foods because they have phytochemicals that prevent or slow down the genetic change of the cells. Although they can help prevent several different kinds of cancer, they are especially beneficial in case of prostate cancer. Also because of the fibers that they have, they reduce the chances of getting digestive cancers.
Carrots
It is known that these anti cancer foods contain beta carotene. Nonetheless only a few people know that this substance decreases the chances of getting several kinds of cancers, including ...
... lung cancer, mouth, stomach, throat, intestine, prostate, bladder and also breast cancer. Although they are said to be cancer fighting foods, some say that they might have some substances that, in large quantities, could cause cancer.
Berries
Berries have become anti cancer foods because researchers have found two main compounds: ellagic acid and anthocyanosides. They can prevent skin, lung, bladder, and breast cancer. The compounds are antioxidants and they slow down the reproduction of the cancerous cells. Blueberries are considered to be the best cancer fighting foods because they contain the most powerful antioxidants.
Mushrooms
Certain kinds of mushrooms can be considered anti cancer foods because they help the body fight the cancerous cells and they also improve the state of the immune system. Also they have a compound that attacks the cancer cells so that they cannot multiply.
Dark green leafy vegetables
Romaine lettuce, chicory, mustard greens and Swiss chard are also cancer fighting foods because they have antioxidants known as carotenoids. These scavenge on the free radicals found in the organism before they can turn into cancer cells. Also these vegetables come with folate, which is known to reduce the risks of having breast and lung cancer.
As you can see nature offers us many anti cancer foods, we just have to find out about them and start consuming them.
