The Alto K10 is the latest offering by Maruti Suzuki. It comes in an affordable price without compromising on features making it the perfect substitute for the Maruti 800. The Alto K10 has a 998cc K10 engine, 35 litters petrol tank capacity and it can go up to 100 kmph in just 13.3 seconds. It gives a mileage of 20.2 kmpl.

New Alto comes with features like better spacing, bigger tyres and an improved rear design. Additional changes include features like tachometer, remote boot and fuel lid controller, changed head lamp, improved seat fabrication, parcel trays in the rear, body color bumper, immobilizer, electronic trip meter, child lock, power windows and new gear fittings.

The new Maruti Alto K10 gives Wagon R K-series and A-Star a run for their money as it’s lower in weight and has a better turning radius than the two formers. It comes fitted with a five speed gear box that is manual and thus makes for a very pleasant city driving experience.

As the name suggests, this car comes with the K10 engine which has already proven its worth and has been well received by the customers in the other cars like ...
... the Wagon R and Estilo. Also the manufacturer has replaced mechanical link with cable type transmission. This makes it a powerful car on the road in its segment.

Although the suspension continues to be the same, a better engine and larger tyres absorb the shocks and undulations quite well till you try it on a high speed. But then that should not be an issue seeing that this car is not really meant for high speed driving in the first place. The interior remains the same as its predecessor however a cleaner rear for the front seats gives the impression of better spacing at the back than before. This car comes with power steering.

Maruti Alto k10 comes in two variants – Alto k10 lxi and Alto k10 Vxi. Alto k10 comes in sunlight copper (new colour), white, black and ecru beige and is expected to note a price increase between 30000 to 40000 INR.

All in all the new Maruti Alto K10 is the perfect choice for a first time car buyer, the target segment of this car. It has everything that is expected from a car in this segment. It cashes on the trusted alto brand has stellar performance and excellent fuel efficiency.
