Holiday cottages in Renfrewshire are not easy to find as this area is
mostly residential and commercial property with big towns such as
Paisley offering a more city lifestyle due to it’s close proximity to
Glasgow city centre.

However, there are some hidden gems in Renfrewshire if you know where
to look as small villages such as Houston, Uplawmoor, Bridge of Weir
and Lochwinnoch do offer holiday cottages in Renfrewshire that may
meet your requirements.Houston is a small affluent village with a few
restaurants and pubs you can use while staying in your holiday village.

There are also a few golf course nearby in Lochwinnoch and Bridge of
Weir that you can book tee off times in advance. Be warned that
Lochwinnoch golf course is hilly !There are also cycle tracks
throughout Renfrewshire that link most towns so you can take your bike
to your holiday cottage and visit the nearby towns.

The small village of Elderslie is also near and you can visit the
birthplace of William Wallace ...
... and check out the small statue.

Renfrewshire is superb for leisure facilities if you are looking for a
day out from your holiday cottage. The Braehead shopping centre is
massive and offers many top stores and eating outlets. Next door to
the Braehead shopping centre is the Xscape centre which offers ten pin
bowling, skiing, crazy golf, rock climbing, cinema and many
restaurants to enjoy.

If you want to enjoy a sporting occasion in Renfrewshire you can head
to Love street to watch the local football team called St. Mirren who
compete against Celtic and Rangers in the Scottish premier league.

Holiday cottages in Renfrewshire offer a great mix as you can enjoy a
quiet relaxing holiday in a rural setting but also have all the
leisure and entertainment facilities right on your doorstep if you
want a more active holiday.
