If you are trying to learn to speak spanish, you've probably noticed that there are hundreds of Spanish tuition DVDs available these days. Sadly, they aren't all as good as they claim to be, so to help you sort the wheat from the chaff, check out these tips to help you choose.

Tip 1-
This goes for pretty much any kind of DVD purchase, but always check the region coding. Usually you'll find that tuition DVDs of any kind are encoded as Region 0, meaning they will work on any DVD player around the world. Beware though, as if you get something else, Region 2 for example, it will only work in Europe! This is quite common with language tuition DVDs so it pays to check first.

Tip 2-
Stay legal. There are lots of places these days where you can obtain illegal copies or fake versions of goods, especially on Ebay and other places, so always take the time to make sure that what you are paying for is the genuine article. It may seem like a really great deal, but what happens when you get it home and half the DVDs are blank and the seller stops answering your questions?

Tip 3-
Don't skimp. It's always ...
... better to get the best you can comfortably afford. Cheaper price usually means a lower quality product, so be prepared to pay for the best if you want to get the best. It's also useful because cheaper products tend to be made with cheaper DVDs. You know those discs that just won't play in your machine? That's due to tiny faults in the discs, because they were cheap ones.

Tip 5-
Research research research. That's what the internet is for. When looking for stuff like this online, always be aware that it's against the law to fake a customer comment or customer testimonial, so it's a good idea to try and find a product which lots of other customers have benefited from. If you do find one, chances are that those testimonials etc really are true. Previous customer experiences can be a great way to find out more about your potential purchase.
