Maserati Granturismo Mc Technology & Standard Equipment
The core of the new Maserati GranTurismo MC is its 4.7L V8 engine which delivers 444 hp at 7,000 rpm and a torque of 376 lb-ft at 4,750. The engine is smoother, more powerful and with reduced consumption and emissions levels. The alloy engine with steel cylinder liners is exceptionally light and compact, particularly on the longitudinal axis. Optimized handling and dynamics are guaranteed by the single timing chain system, which provides improved reliability, lighter response and reduced consumption.
To improve comfort and performance, the new GranTurismo MC engine features a wet sump lubrication system which limits the number of oil recovery pumps and unnecessary noises.
The MCfeatures the ZF six-speed automatic transmission, which programming has been further enhanced to secure sportier driving performance. When “Sport” mode is selected, shifting happens in less than 200 milliseconds while the MC Auto-shift is activated to execute a perfect blip of the throttle on downshifts and to avoid unexpected gear change when cornering. The new GranTurismo MC transmission secures optimal standing start acceleration ...
... and better throttle response.
