Am I Pregnant- How Will An Ovulation Test Help?

Have you been thinking about how ovulation tests exactly work? Women who have been trying to conceive use ovulation test or pregnancy test to find out when ovulation is near by so that they know the days that are more fertile, which is quite a vital point when one is trying to become pregnant.
An ovulation test determines the level of the Luteinizing Hormone present in your urine. Just before a woman is ovulating, the LH level surges in their body. The ovulation test or pregnancy test can see this and can inform you of when you will be ovulating.
The duration of human pregnancy is roughly taken as forty weeks from the first day of a woman’s last normal period. The weeks are divided into three stages of pregnancy, also known as trimesters, and each trimester marks the beginning of new hormonal and bodily changes inside the mother’s body.
Here are the three stages of pregnancy:
Pregnancy Stages: The First Trimester (Week ...
... 1 to 12)
The first trimester comprises of hormonal changes that trigger several discomforts in the woman’s body. The uneasiness may include-
• Upset stomach,
• Nausea,
• Mood swings,
• Swollen breasts,
• Tenderness,
• Constipation,
• Head ache, and
• Weight gain/loss
According to the experts, mother’s who bring about positive changes in their daily routine, such as, eating smaller meals stretched throughout the day, going to bed early, and visiting a gynecologist on a regular basis, have lesser trouble dealing with these changes. Also, keeping up a revaluated exercise routine during the first trimester is extremely beneficial.
Pregnancy Stages: The Second Trimester (Week 13 to 28)
The second trimester is considerably easy than the first, at least for most women. The noticeable changes that occur during this stage include –
• An expanded abdomen,
• Stretch marks,
• Patches over the cheeks,
• Swelled ankles,
• Dark patches around the nipples
Apart from this, the expecting mother may also feel back ache, itching on the palms, numbness, and thigh pain. During this stage, it’s advisable to take a nutritious-balanced diet, refrain from consuming alcohol and be very careful while lifting and carrying heavy stuff.
Pregnancy Stages: The Third trimester (Week 29 to 40)
This is the last of the three stages of pregnancy and most of the discomforts felt during the second trimester continue during this stage as well. Apart from that, some women may also undergo difficulty breathing and may have a recurrent urge to urinate. This happens due to the expansion of the uterus, in turn pressing the bladder and contracting it.
The body changes that occur may include-
• Leaking of breasts
• Difficulty breathing
• Swelling in the body
• Contractions
• Frequent urge to urinate
During this stage, the mother should prepare for the baby by performing stretching and toning exercises, subtly and regularly. It is also advisable to stay well hydrated and consume an average of 2500 calories a day. The three stages of pregnancy end with delivery- the birth of your little bundle of joy.
