Give them what they want, always work with your customers. Ask them for suggestions, they will tell you what they want to buy.
Make sure to keep your machines fully stock, working and clean. Keep a close eye in the beginning of what sells the best and how often. This will let you know how many times a week to stock them. Check to make sure the machine is working properly. Carry a bottle of windex and paper towels to keep them clean.
Be patient when finding your accounts. Remember, it's the big accounts that generate the best profits. The biggest mistake most new vending companies make is to take any account they can find. I've always made it a point to be selective when taking on new customers.
When looking for customers, you need to really dig in and find out about the business. Find out how many employees they have, how many shifts they work, how many years the companies been in business and what exactly they do.
You want good solid companies that will continue to stay in business and grow. This provides good solid security for your business as well.
Also, you need to do your research and find good suppliers that cater to vending machine companies. Compare the wholesale cost of your vending items to each supplier. Be sure to provide the better name brand type items to your customers. These normally sell the best, because most people prefer the name brand items they know and trust.
