Ghana

The Republic of Ghana in West Africa borders Cote d' Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo, and the Gulf of Guinea. The interpretation of Ghana means Warrior King, which is indicative of its historic and illustrative past. In the pre-colonial times, there were several kingdoms that were prevalent throughout the country; on the eastern coast ruled the Ga Adangbes, with the Empire of Ashanti dominating the inland.

The country began its economic flourish after contact with the Portuguese and the British, who colonized Ghana in 1874. However, in 1957, Ghana achieved independence from the United Kingdom, and it currently exists as a republic and part of the Commonwealth of Nations.

Upon gaining its independence, the people choose the name Ghana to reflect the illustrious heritage that the country had under the Empire of Ghana, which once encompassed a substantial portion of Western Africa.

Today, Ghana is a multicultural and religiously diverse country, with more than 100 languages spoken in the country. With great cultural tolerance, there are many ethnic groups and religious sectors that exist ...
... in Ghana. Through its ability to trade its natural resources, such as Gold, timber, cocoa, diamond, and manganese, Ghana's economy is twice as strong as the poorer countries in West Africa.

Cameroon

Cameroon is populated by more than 16 million people. This is a republic country that borders Nigeria, Chad, Central Africa Republic, Gabon, Congo, Guinea, and it stretches along the coasts of Bight Bonny and touches the Atlantic Ocean. Considered the Miniature of Africa, Cameroon has great cultural and geological diversity. Around the area are sandy beaches, mountains, deserts, savannas, and rainforests.

Cameroon gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1960, and its current government is a republic based upon French civil law and common law. With over 17 million in population, there are over 230 different linguistic and ethnic cultural groups in Cameroon. Both polygamous and monogamous marriages are practiced, and the country has a great tolerance of both religious and cultural diversity.
