She silently saw her daughter amidst laughter, hope, glory and galore of jewels dancing her way to popularity.

Then, she wiped the tear that glistened in the corner of her eye, only if all of it was all really as it seemed. She would be so happy for Tara.

Tara*’s (name changed) mother, had seen different days. She knew that her daughter was not the self that world knew, Bright, shining, full of love, laughter cheer and beauty. She knew better, as she had silently tiptoed to the room that resounded with tears, the hunger pangs, temper tantrums and deep spells of desolations and despair. To someone in the society it would be shocking to see this grieved, desperate self of Tara. I’m sure that quite a few of you deep down can identify with the situation. You either know of a spouse, relative, friend or a cousin like that. This is the most widespread and yet the most prevalent form of depression is the one that is not seen. The treatment for depression of this kind is the most difficult to seek, since these patients display reluctance in owning upto this disorder. Let me retrace what I said, for the very mention ...
... of the word patients would send these people into a shell, a limbo that they have created around themselves.

Energetically, people of this sort are in a state of denial. Usually, they are highly creative, high on laughter and fun in whatever social roles they playbut have very few confidantes really!. They would rather die, than admit that they are suffering from depression or any such disorder. They would mentally never unveil their true selves even to themselves let alone to another living human being. Fact is that these people have already lost their trust on mankind. It could be attributed either to a person/event/occurrence in this lifetime else, it could also be the baggage of one’s past that the soul is carrying.

It is ironical that we still feelexternal counselling is the remedy. For people, who take years to unleash the real soul to them who they are closest to, or are in a blood-bound relationship with, what help can someone (who doesn’t even know them) give! Is it not like leaving one’s offspring with foreign alien people, who they would never open up with? For people have already given up on the people around fi their own kin gives up on them mentally and parcels them onto an unknown professional, it is like validating their mistrust in mankind, which will further ruin their condition. Also, with this category of audience, it is very likely that they will never refuse the family that is urging them to seek counselling as depression treatment. However, even after endless visits they might never really open up. Eventually, they resort to rest/sleep inducing pills in the name of treatment. But does the root cause go? Is the soul or self really healed, hardly! That is how they will sink deeper within themselves.

Instead, listen to them yourself whenever you could. Let them open up calmly and slowly, and as and when they would want to! For inner peace is an internal journey, every individual must embark upon him/herself. Don’t leave them alone, or with an unknown, if they wouldn’t want to, to deal with it all on their own. Seek for their advice on what they think and feel about things. For the purity and simplicity that these souls carry within themselves is hard to buy. Their sound opinion, judgement or observation might surprise you. Show them that they are welcome, even with their sadness. Let their souls feel cherished, and it will wake up to its purpose. New age therapies, like past life regression can also be a good cure in plucking out the issue from the root. New age therapySerenity surrender, works on the simple principle that depression like any other disorder has a root; it won’t go away just like that. It needs an open ear, trust and care, and it can easily be dealt with. At healing Cottage, we listen to them, and their concerns, even when they aren’t really talking. We gently tap at the layers that are consciously shut to all, to find the wound so that the scar on the surface is healed. If you feel inclined and find it the calling, you could write to reach the healing cottage at enquiry@healingcottage.in or call +91 8826434433 to book an appointment.
