Fatigue may result from extensive work, lack of sleep, stressful life situations, boredom, or lack of exercise. Fatigue is considered to be a symptom and not an ailment or disease. Trying to identify the source of the symptom can be difficult. Some routine things that can trigger fatigue are: disease, infection, medication side effects, medical treatment (chemotherapy), anxiety and depression.
