Fatigue is a feeling of overwhelming tiredness or exhaustion. Someone suffering with fatigue may feel the need to rest due to a lack of energy or strength. Fatigue may result from extensive work, lack of sleep, stressful life situations, boredom, or lack of exercise. Fatigue is considered to be a symptom and not an ailment or disease. Trying to identify the source of the symptom can be difficult. Some routine things that can trigger fatigue are: disease, infection, medication side effects, medical treatment (chemotherapy), anxiety and depression.

Homeopathic or alternative treatment can be effective in combating fatigue. Some forms of treatment can include those found below.

Dehydroepiandrosterone: DHEA is involved in memory, mood, and sleep. Levels of DHEA in the body peak when a person is in his or her mid-20s and then slowly decreases with age.
Essential fatty acids: flax seed oil, walnuts, Brazil nuts, Canola oil, Soy oil, olive oil, avocados, almonds, peanuts, fish oil…

There are a number of treatments available on the market to combat fatigue. It is recommended that you discuss your symptoms with a doctor prior to taking part in any type of therapy.
